Responsibilities
Mediacorp has the widest range of media platforms in Singapore spanning digital, television, radio, print and out-of-home media. Its mission is to engage, entertain and enrich audiences. We are seeking a Product Manager who is passionate about delivering innovative products and services to join our Digital News Products team which is the custodian for leading products such as CNA, 8world, Berita and Seithi.
The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience in working on products of scale as well as operating in cross-functional environments alongside designers, developers, editorial teams and business owners. The candidate will be analytical, solutions focused, and able to execute product initiatives across multiple business units simultaneously.
The candidate should ideally have hands-on knowledge of working on AI-led product processes and a native understanding of AI tools for product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage roadmaps; manage prioritisation and execution; manage timelines for assigned products across the lifecycle.
- Take a data-driven approach to product development.
- Present product development hypothesis, roadmaps and success metrics to senior stakeholders
- Manage multiple cross-functional internal / external stakeholders in driving the product roadmap
- Work with product design, engineering and service delivery team in developing and execute product plans
- Work with digital sales teams to develop digital monetisation opportunities
- Identify ongoing product enhancement opportunities for various Business Units in order to help them grow reach and engagement
- Create business cases & technical documentation for new features or products by gathering requirements, costs and market insights
- Drive the product development process including writing requirements, create user stories, manage backlogs and define acceptance criteria.
- Ensure that business requirements are met via constant feedback loops.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6-8 years experience in Product Management
- An expert practitioner of Agile product development principles
- Experience in using modern AI and analytical tools
- Experience launching digital products or services from idea to execution
- Experience in working with cross functional teams
- Strong understanding of the digital landscape and innovation trends
- Understanding of market and consumer research and deriving data/research driven consumer insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge and experience using product management tools e.g. JIRA
- Experience in user-centric design processes
- Excellent time and project management skills, able to manage multiple projects with varying schedules simultaneously
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in Chinese to support the management of Chinese-language products and related stakeholders.
