Product Manager (Consultant/Senior Consultant) – Finance ERP & Digital Transformation

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager (Consultant/Senior Consultant) specialising in Finance ERP platforms and digital transformation. In this role, you will lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of finance-related technology initiatives in partnership with internal and external stakeholders for various clientle projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Product Planning:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestone schedules with contracted vendors.
  • Lead feature planning and prioritisation based on user feedback, business impact, technical complexity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Decompose high-level objectives into actionable plans and contribute strategically to project vision.
  • Product Strategy & Performance:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contractors to define product roadmaps and success metrics.
  • Monitor performance against benchmarks and report status to senior leadership.
  • Maintain centralised documentation and ensure best practices in knowledge management.
  • Problem Prioritisation & Impact Assessment:
  • Evaluate and prioritise issues based on user impact, business value, feasibility, resources, and alignment with strategy.
  • Agile Delivery:
  • Facilitate daily standups and agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Partner with end users to define acceptance criteria for deliverables.
  • Monitor technical debt and recommend adjustments to optimise reliability and performance.
  • Technical Analysis & Risk Management:
  • Conduct gap analyses between vendor solutions and requirements, identifying integration/customisation needs and technical debt.
  • Analyse complex data (problem statements, user pain points, capability gaps, etc.) to drive actionable recommendations.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support solution development aligned with project goals.

Mandatory Skills & Experience/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
  • Certification in Agile Scrum Master, Product Management, or equivalent project/product management qualification.
  • At least 7 years of product management experience with Finance ERP platforms.
  • Experience in at least 1 full cycle of Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall product implementation.
  • High proficiency in analysing business requirements and translating them into system functionality.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with both senior and junior stakeholders.

Preferred/Advantageous Skills & Experience

  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives, preferably in government or regulated environments.
  • Experience in financial industry settings (e.g., Banking, Insurance).
  • Certification in major finance ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Technical Stack / Domain Knowledge

  • Finance ERP Platforms: SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Project Management: Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies; project planning and tracking tools.
  • Business Analysis: Requirements gathering, gap analysis, and process mapping.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Status reporting, centralised documentation, and knowledge management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and leadership.
  • Risk & Compliance: Understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management in finance/ERP projects.
