Responsibilities
- Lead the product strategy and development of cloud infrastructure, cloud-native and AI products, with a strong focus on distributed cloud and emerging AI workloads.
- Own product direction across the market, translating customer needs, market trends and commercial opportunities into clear product strategies and priorities.
- Engage directly with strategic customers to identify new use cases, expansion opportunities, adoption blockers and emerging market requirements.
- Partner closely with Cloud Sales, Cloud Presales, Cloud Evangelists, Marketing, Engineering and other senior stakeholders to bring products and solutions to market.
- Translate complex customer requirements and bespoke opportunities into clear product problem statements, ensuring scope, pricing, technical feasibility and delivery implications are well understood.
- Analyse customer feedback, objections and buying behaviour to identify trends and convert market intelligence into actionable product improvements.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between Product, Engineering and Go-to-Market teams to ensure customer and market feedback is incorporated into product strategy.
- Provide strategic product leadership across cloud and AI initiatives, balancing customer requirements with long-term product vision and commercial objectives.
- Lead, mentor and develop a lean, high-performing product management team, currently comprising two Product Managers.
- Represent Product Management with senior internal and external stakeholders, communicating product strategy, market opportunities and priorities with clarity and influence.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and business opportunities across the broader cloud portfolio.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, with significant experience in cloud, cloud infrastructure, compute, cloud-native or closely related technology domains.
- Proven experience in cloud product management, ideally from a major hyperscaler or similarly scaled technology organisation.
- Strong exposure to AI products and technologies, ideally alongside substantial cloud experience. The role is approximately 75% Cloud / 25% AI.
- Demonstrated experience taking products or capabilities through greenfield development, from identifying market/customer needs through to product strategy and execution.
- Prior people-management experience is essential — experience leading a small product team or having spent 2–4 years as a Lead/Senior Product Manager with direct reports is highly relevant.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure and distributed systems, with the ability to engage credibly with technical stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to connect technology, customer needs and business outcomes.
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management skills, with experience working across Sales, Presales, Engineering, Marketing and senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable operating in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving environment and managing ambiguity.
- Experience working across the Asia-Pacific market would be advantageous.
- Candidates from cloud infrastructure, cloud-native, AI or adjacent technology platforms are strongly preferred.
- Cloud security-focused Product Managers are not the target profile for this position.
