About The Role
Atome Financial is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Product Manager, Financial Systems to lead the design and development of financial platforms supporting our lending business. This role will focus on building scalable, compliant, and automated financial systems across multiple markets, enabling accurate reporting, strong controls, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Business Alignment
- Define and drive the yearly roadmap for financial systems, aligned with Atome's lending and financial digitisation strategy
- Partner closely with Finance, Risk, and Business teams to translate lending requirements into system capabilities (e.g. loan accounting, provisioning, revenue recognition)
- Ensure system design complies with IFRS (e.g. IFRS 9 for credit loss) and other relevant accounting standards
- Establish prioritisation frameworks balancing business impact, compliance needs, and engineering effort
Product Design & System Development
- Lead end-to-end design of core finance modules, including:
- Loan accounting and amortisation schedules
- Accounts receivable / payable
- General ledger and reconciliation
- Interest accrual and revenue recognition
- Design multi-dimensional financial reporting to support portfolio, product, and country-level performance tracking
- Build and enhance financial data platforms, ensuring integration across systems such as lending platforms, ERP, CRM, and payment systems
- Ensure data integrity and reconciliation accuracy across systems
Compliance, Risk & Controls (Mandatory for Lending)
- Implement financial controls aligned with SOX404 and internal audit requirements
- Design key controls including segregation of duties, audit trails, and approval workflows
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audit standards, and local statutory requirements across markets
- Develop monitoring frameworks for risk detection (e.g. duplicate payments, abnormal transactions, reconciliation breaks)
- Establish data security standards, including encryption and data masking
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Drive product delivery using Agile methodologies, managing multiple concurrent initiatives
- Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and external auditors
- Manage stakeholder expectations across regional markets and business lines
- Lead user training and adoption initiatives to ensure smooth system rollout
Product Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Track system performance metrics such as:
- Close cycle timelines
- Automation rates
- Reconciliation accuracy
- Deliver periodic value and impact analysis of system enhancements
- Build feedback loops to continuously improve product capabilities
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in product management, finance systems, or fintech platforms
- Prior experience in lending, credit, or financial services is highly preferred
- Proven track record in delivering end-to-end financial system implementations
Mandatory Functional Knowledge (Lending Focus)
- Strong understanding of loan lifecycle and accounting, including:
- Interest calculation and amortisation
- IFRS 9 / Expected Credit Loss (ECL) concepts
- Revenue recognition and provisioning
- Experience working with general ledger, reconciliation, and financial reporting systems
- Familiarity with multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Understanding of financial systems architecture, including:
- Distributed transaction processing
- Data integration and APIs
- Financial data modelling (e.g. chart of accounts, cost centres)
- Experience with RPA / automation in finance (e.g. reconciliation, invoice validation) is a plus
- Strong data analytical skills with attention to detail
