Lead technical product readiness and factory execution from Mass Trial through launch and into CPE (Current Product Engineering) by working closely with R&D, MPM (Manufacturing Program Manager), factories, MPAs (Manufacturing Partners), Packaging, Regulatory, and Quality to ensure products are build-ready, compliant, and manufacturable at scale. Also support environmental compliance readiness by managing supplier documentation, reviewing BOM (Bill of Materials) components in MS4, and partnering with Product Stewardship, Regulatory and suppliers to meet product release requirements.
Responsibilities
Drive product completion readiness during NPI (New Product Introduction) through close partnership with R&D, factories, and cross-functional teams.
Own PCS (Product Completion Specifications), including top-level factory instructions for product build, labeling, documentation, and rework requirements.
Own MES (Manufacturing Execution System) setup and product labeling readiness at the factory.
Work closely with Regulatory to ensure factory execution and product labeling meet requirements.
Partner directly with the MPM to obtain the latest top-level BOM and PAM (Product Authorization Matrix), including CoO (Country of Origin) and supply chain pipe details needed for factory setup and execution.
Work closely with Packaging to ensure the DM (Distribution Matrix), packaging instructions, and related factory documentation are complete and ready for use.
Define and coordinate rework instructions, corrective actions, and containment plans to support build quality and readiness.
Provide real-time feedback during development and early factory builds on DFM (Design for Manufacturability), workmanship, MES, labeling, and factory execution readiness.
Support validation of manufacturing processes and quality containment actions before SOP (Start of Production).
Act as the technical bridge between R&D and factory teams to improve speed, quality, communication, and manufacturing readiness before SOP.
Travel to factories to review build readiness, factory execution, quality goals, and issue resolution.
In CPE, continue to support Ops quality, close the loop with R&D on design issues, and help resolve product hardware-related issues.
Support environmental compliance readiness by collecting supplier documents, including sDoCs (Supplier Declarations of Conformity) and material declarations.
Review and approve BOM components in MS4 for environmental compliance in partnership with Product Stewardship, suppliers, and MPAs.
Help drive closure of environmental compliance gaps that could impact product release.
