Product Engineer – AC/DC Power Conversion (Low/Medium Voltage)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Product Engineer for AC/DC power conversion (Low/Medium Voltage) to lead the development and delivery of innovative solutions in the Australian market. This role demands expertise in market trends and needs of MW power conversion system (PCS), status of market competition, domain knowledge of power conversion equipment along with strong project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and deliver customized medium-voltage power system projects, including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power conversion systems (PCS).
• Lead the development of integrated solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.

Project Management:

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of medium-voltage and ESS projects, from initial design to commissioning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and operational challenges during project execution.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as a technical advisor to clients, providing guidance on system design, performance optimization, and compliance requirements.

• Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure solutions meet Australian standards and grid requirements.

Market and Technology Insights:

• Stay updated on trends in medium-voltage power systems, ESS, and grid technology.

• Provide insights to enhance product and solution portfolios, focusing on innovation and sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and management or a related field.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in medium-voltage systems, ESS projects, PCS delivery, and project management.

• Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards, grid codes, and compliance requirements.

• Proven track record in solution development, project management, and business development.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in renewable energy integration and hybrid energy solutions.

• Familiarity with IoT applications and digitalization in power systems.

• Professional certifications in electrical engineering or project management are an advantage.
