Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Product Development Team Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, chemistry, microbiology, nutrition, and product development, with a proven track record in leading and managing product development teams.
You will be responsible for developing and executing product development strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and market demands, and providing expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product development strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality instant noodles and beverages that meet customer needs and market demands.
- Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in product development within the instant noodle and beverage industry.
- Lead and manage a team of product development professionals, providing training, coaching, and mentorship.
- Oversee the full product development lifecycle, with a strong focus on selecting and optimizing raw materials for instant noodles and beverages.
- Conduct product testing and evaluation to ensure products meet customer expectations, including optimization of raw materials for taste, texture, and nutritional value.
- Provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams on product development, including raw material selection and functionality.
- Represent the company in engagements with external partners, including suppliers and raw material manufacturers for instant noodles and beverages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Nutrition.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, with a proven track record in leading and managing a product development team.
- Strong knowledge of raw materials used in instant noodles and beverages, including flours, starches, fats and oils, flavors, sweeteners, and functional ingredients.
- Solid understanding of product development methodologies and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin, to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking colleagues and international partners.
