Product Development Engineer (Yishun)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Product Design / Planning Department

Reports to: Assistant Manager/Manager

Functional Relationships with: Process Engineering, Machine Engineering, Production in Singapore and Japanese counterparts in Japan

Position Profile:
Based in: Yishun

Successful candidate will: Collaborate and participate in cost analysis, time study or productivity tracking to devise systems integrate Man, Machine, Material, and optimize operations and reduce waste.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

. Support R&D engineering activities to achieve project objectives and timelines.

. Assist in product evaluation, testing, and process improvement activities.

. Analyze engineering data and support troubleshooting of product and process-related issues.

. Work closely with cross-functional teams to support engineering projects.

. Monitor process performance and ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.

. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and records as required.

. Support the evaluation of new materials, equipment, and technologies for product and process improvement.

. Collaborate and communicate effectively with Japanese counterparts on R&D projects, technical discussions, and project coordination to ensure timely execution and alignment of engineering objectives.

Ability / Competency Required

. Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

. Minimum 1 year relevant experience is preferred. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

. Willingto learn and able to handle multiple tasks.

. Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.

. Positive attitude and willing to work in a cleanroom environment.
