Our client is an Electrical Supplies. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Product Design Engineer to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth analysis of customer expectations, industry movements, and functional specifications to guide product development.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new product concepts or external solutions to expand the organization's product portfolio.
- Create comprehensive mechanical design outputs, including technical documentation, 3D models, and engineering specifications.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to align designs with performance, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Determine suitable materials and production methods to optimize durability, cost, and manufacturability.
- Support prototype fabrication and testing activities, using results to confirm design feasibility and performance.
Requirements:
- Min Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field.
- Two years in mechanical design within a product development environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
