Job Description

FairPrice Group is seeking a Product Delivery Manager responsible for safeguarding the quality, stability and successful deployment of all software releases across the checkout platforms and store technology applications. This role leads the technical release lifecycle, oversees the QA function, and serves the technical customer advocate.

The Product Delivery Manager coordinates all release activities across nearly 200 stores, ensuring each release meets stringent quality gates, is fully validated, and is deployed with technical precision. This role partners closely with Engineering, QA, Product, Cybersecurity, Vendors, and Rollout teams to ensure every feature, enhancement, and fix is technically ready for store deployment.

Job Purpose

The Product Delivery Manager to lead and manage the release governance, quality assurance, and technical customer success processes for all Store Technology systems. The role ensures that every release is technically sound, thoroughly tested, and deployed predictably across all 200 stores.

The purpose is to strengthen the reliability, scalability, and operational resilience of store technology by enforcing quality standards, driving technical readiness, and ensuring strong cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

Technical Release Management

  • Own the technical release lifecycle for checkout and store applications
  • Drive and lead the release note process; consolidate technical inputs from engineering, vendor and QA
  • Govern release calendar, release sequencing, and Go/No Go, and conduct technical Go/No-Go assessments before store rollout

Deployment Governance

  • Oversee deployment sequencing, blackout windows, packaging validation, and rollback readiness
  • Ensure deployment and configuration scripts are accurate and tested
  • Partner with rollout teams on deployment execution

Post-Release Stability & Monitoring

  • Monitor release stability and track performance metrics (SLA/SLO, system crashes, error logs, regression defects)
  • Lead root cause analysis for post-release incidents and work with engineering/vendors on permanent fixes

Technical Customer Success

  • Represent front office solutions needs within engineering and product teams based on data, incidents, and system feedback
  • Produce release notes, configuration impacts

Process, Documentation & Standards

  • Work with the support and rollout team to maintain the Release Playbook, technical checklists, deployment runbooks, and release governance standards
  • Continuously improve release processes and automation

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related technical fields or any other related profession.

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in IT deployment, rollout or project delivery, ideally in large-scale environment
  • Proven track record of leading successful rollouts or large-scale deployments
  • Excellent planning, coordination and execution capabilities
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving and high-pressure rollout environments
  • Demonstrated success in managing L1L3 support operations, vendor performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise applications is advantageous
  • Experience in crisis and incident management, with excellent stakeholder communication under pressure
