Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on and practical-minded engineer to join our team in supporting the development and setup of semiconductor automation equipment, particularly for Silicon Photonics testing and active alignment assembly systems.
This role is suitable for candidates who enjoy machine setup, troubleshooting, lab testing, and engineering support work. You will work closely with the product manager and engineering team on machine development, motion control setup, vision system integration, customer support, and project execution.
Candidates with automation, motion control, vision system, semiconductor equipment, or machine integration experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Support setup, testing, and improvement of semiconductor automation equipment and photonics related systems.
- Assist in motion control setup, servo tuning, motion & vision integration, and troubleshooting work.
- Support vision system setup including camera alignment, lighting adjustment, and inspection application testing.
- Carry out machine debugging, engineering testing, DOE runs, and lab evaluation activities.
- Assist in machine assembly follow-up, system integration, and performance verification.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and product teams to resolve technical issues and improve machine performance.
- Provide technical support for internal testing, machine setup, customer demo and onsite support when required.
- Assist Product Manager in preparing technical specifications, project proposals, application reports, and related documentation.
- Support feasibility studies and evaluation of new modules, components, or applications.
- Maintain proper engineering records, setup documentation, SOP, and test reports.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Candidates with experience in automation equipment, semiconductor machines, motion systems, machine vision, or precision equipment are preferred.
- Hands-on and willing to work on machine setup, debugging, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of servo systems, sensors, cameras, lighting, alignment systems, or automation control is an advantage.
- Familiar with software such as C#, LabVIEW, PLC, or motion control platforms will be an added advantage.
- Responsible, willing to learn, and able to work closely with different departments and customers.
