Responsibilities
- Product Planning for Asia/South-East Asia Region
- Write and maintain accuracy of appealing tour itinerary descriptions.
- Plan & control group seats / hotel rooms inventories
- Manage tour pricing and set costs, by analyzing performance, market influences and budget requirements define assumptions and propose selling prices.
- Set-up sales package in OB system.
- Closely monitor sales against budget and pace by using available data sources and reports
- Liaise & Negotiate contract rates and terms: hotels, tour operators and special offers, while remaining in compliance with other relevant regulations Manage and maintain tour operators relationships along with contract administration.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing department for brochures and collateral production.
- Assist with vendor performance management
- Provide training for counter staff on tour products and destinations.
- To assist the department head in strategic planning of tours
- Attend meetings / seminars & familiarization trips
- Assist with travel fair assignment
Skill Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in travel industry experience with product management, contracting and pricing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office word & excel are required
- Familiar with GDS knowledge, Sabre reservation system, and OB reservation system.
- Problem Solving and Customer Service Skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, product contracting, planning and destination familiarization
