Our client is a leading Multinational Tech company, developer of personal-computer software systems and applications.
This is a 06 month contract role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Executing RFP's, undertaking tender evaluations, creating change orders, engaging with category managers and other key stakeholders.
- Run the end-to-end tender process: prepare tender documentation, issue tenders via an e-sourcing platform, manage bidder communications, and coordinate timelines.
- Collect, track, and manage supplier questions/clarifications coordinate technical input from engineering/SMEs and provide clear responses to the market.
- Evaluate supplier submissions (commercial and compliance) and support recommendation development with Category Managers and stakeholders.
- Support commercial negotiations, including clarification negotiation, pricing discussions, and scope/terms alignment.
- Partner with Legal to review supplier qualifications, exceptions, and contractual terms help progress redlines to closure.
- Coordinate with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) partners to align sourcing outcomes with supplier performance considerations and engagement plans.
- Maintain sourcing documentation, approvals, and audit-ready records in accordance with procurement policy and process requirements.
- Manage multiple parallel sourcing activities with competing deadlines (including contract renewals/expiries), identifying bottlenecks and driving resolutions.
- Communicate progress, risks, and decision points clearly to stakeholders across APAC and global teams.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Degree holder or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in a strategic procurement role, ideally in a data centre environment or another critical national infrastructure industry (e.g., utilities, oil & gas, industrial sites, hospitals), procuring critical services such as mechanical, electrical, fuel and water services.
- Procurement Category: Mechanical, Electrical, Fuel and Water Services.
- 5+ years of procurement/sourcing experience with demonstrated ownership of the end-to-end tender process.
- Proven experience preparing tender packs, issuing tenders, managing supplier clarifications, and supporting negotiations through award/contract execution.
- Stakeholder management: Able to engage engineering/technical SMEs to obtain inputs and translate requirements clearly to suppliers.
- Systems: Experience using an e-sourcing/procurement platform (SAP Ariba strongly preferred comparable tools accepted).
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple workstreams and remove bottlenecks in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience supporting a global/regional category management organization across multiple geographies.
- Contracting experience with mid-to-large complex suppliers, including managing non-standard terms and structured exception processes.
- Good communication skills.
