Role Purpose
To manage end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and delivery of specific long-lead equipment categories (Electrical, MVAC, or ELV). This owner-side role ensures that equipment is specified correctly, ordered on time, tracked globally, and delivered to meet construction milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities for assigned equipment category (e.g., UPS, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, gensets, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, CDUs, ELV systems).
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate technical and commercial proposals, and recommend vendor selection.
- Negotiate contract and commercial terms with the vendor.
- Create the letter of award and purchase orders (POs) in SAP, and manage the PO lifecycle from issuance to delivery and payment preparation, including change orders.
- Coordinate with logistics team to ensure on-time delivery and customs clearance for international shipments.
- Work with engineering to validate technical specifications and BOMs.
- Track supplier manufacturing progress and conduct regular progress calls.
- Resolve quality or delivery issues with suppliers.
- Maintain category intelligence: market pricing, lead times, emerging technologies.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant engineering degree
