Role Overview
This is an owner-side position responsible for the full procurement cycle — from sourcing through delivery — for specialized long-lead equipment in the Electrical, MVAC, or ELV categories. The role ensures equipment is accurately specified, procured on schedule, monitored globally, and delivered in line with construction timelines.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive sourcing efforts for the assigned equipment category, which may include items such as UPS systems, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, CDUs, or ELV systems.
- Develop and issue RFQs/RFPs, assess both technical and commercial bids, and provide vendor recommendations.
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers.
- Generate letters of award and purchase orders in SAP, overseeing the entire PO lifecycle — from issuance through delivery and payment processing — including handling change orders.
- Partner with the logistics team to manage timely delivery and customs clearance for cross-border shipments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to review and validate technical specifications and bills of materials.
- Monitor supplier production progress and facilitate regular status update calls.
- Address and resolve any quality or delivery concerns with vendors.
- Stay current on category insights including market pricing trends, lead times, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
