Job Summary
The Procurement Sourcing Specialist is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier management functions across business and technology-related initiatives. The role focuses on driving procurement strategies that deliver cost optimisation, operational efficiency, risk management, and sustainable vendor partnerships within a regulated enterprise environment.
This position oversees end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier identification and evaluation, strategic sourcing engagements, commercial negotiations, contract management, and vendor performance management. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders across Business, Legal, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to ensure procurement activities align with organizational objectives, operational requirements, and compliance standards.
The successful candidate will possess strong sourcing and procurement experience, excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of procurement processes across both domestic and international supply chains. Experience within e-commerce, retail, consumer goods, banking, financial services, or technology-driven environments will be advantageous.
In addition, the role may be involved in supporting supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and inventory operations to ensure continuity of supply, operational efficiency, and seamless coordination throughout the procurement and operational lifecycle.
Mandatory Skillset
o Bachelor's degree in business administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Law, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
o Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, contract management, and commercial negotiations, preferably within banking, financial services, technology, retail, e-commerce, or multinational environments
o Strong experience managing end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities
o Proven experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering supplier contracts, service agreements, and commercial terms
o Good understanding of procurement governance, contractual risk management, and supplier performance management
o Familiarity with RFQ/RFP processes, tender management, procurement systems, and purchasing controls
o Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
o Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
o Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Risk teams within regulated environments
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or Coupa.
Desired Skillset
o Familiarity with MAS outsourcing guidelines, technology risk management, and vendor governance frameworks
o Exposure to enterprise technology procurement, cloud services procurement, and large-scale transformation projects
o Experience negotiating with major technology vendors, system integrators, logistics providers, and global suppliers
o Knowledge of software licensing models commercial structures, and IT service agreements
o Professional procurement certification such as CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or PMP will be an advantage
o Experience in supply chain operations, inventory planning, warehousing, and logistics coordination
o Familiarity with ESG, sustainability sourcing initiatives, and supplier compliance programmes
o Strong commercialacumen with the ability to drive cost-saving and value-creation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
o Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, operational requirements, and budget targets.
o Manage sourcing activities across assigned categories, including operations, logistics, professional services, and indirect procurement.
o Conduct supplier sourcing, market analysis, benchmarking, and tender evaluations to identify competitive and reliable suppliers.
o Lead RFQs, RFPs, and tender exercises, ensuring transparency, competitiveness, and compliance with procurement policies.
o Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing structures, financial stability, quality standards, operational capacity, and risk exposure.
o Drive supplier consolidation, strategic partnerships, and procurement transformation initiatives where appropriate.
o Develop category management plans and sourcing roadmaps to support long-term business growth and procurement efficiency.
o Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing channels to minimise supply disruption risks and improve business continuity.
o Analyse market intelligence, industry trends, pricing movements, and global supply chain developments to support sourcing decisions.
o Establish procurement KPIs and sourcing metrics to monitor procurement performance and supplier effectiveness.
o Support new business initiatives, expansion projects, and operational requirements through proactive sourcing support.
o Ensure ethical sourcing practices and supplier compliance with corporate governance, sustainability standards, and regulatory requirements.
2. Procurement Operations & Contract Management
o Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including requisition review, supplier selection, purchase orders, contract execution, and delivery coordination.
o Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and service providers to secure favourable pricing, payment terms, service levels, rebates, and contractual protections.
o Review, negotiate, and administer procurement contracts, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and service agreements in collaboration with Legal and Compliance teams.
o Ensure procurement activities comply with internal governance policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
o Maintain accurate procurement records, contract repositories, supplier databases, and procurement documentation.
o Monitor contract renewals, supplier obligations, and procurement milestones to ensure timely execution and compliance.
o Review procurement requests for completeness, commercial viability, and policy compliance prior to approval.
o Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement execution and issue resolution.
o Support the implementation and enhancement of procurement systems, workflows, and approval processes.
o Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders, invoice verification, and payment coordinationwith Finance teams.
o Monitor procurement cycle times and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and turn around time.
o Participate in contract dispute resolution and escalation management with suppliers where necessary.
3. Supplier & Vendor Management
o Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure long-term collaboration and service excellence.
o Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and track KPIs, SLAs, delivery timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
o Identify and mitigate supplier risks, operational disruptions, and service gaps through proactive vendor governance practices.
o Work with suppliers to resolve operational issues, disputes, and performance concerns in a timely manner.
o Support supplier onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing risk assessment activities.
o Develop supplier scorecards and vendor performance tracking frameworks to evaluate supplier effectiveness.
o Conduct periodic business reviews with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement and strategic alignment.
o Monitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations, confidentiality requirements, and regulatory standards.
o Maintain updated vendor master records and supplier documentation.
o Coordinate supplier audits, assessments, and remediation activities where required.
o Support vendor rationalisation and supplier optimisation initiatives to improve procurement efficiency.
o Establish contingency plans and backup supplier arrangements for critical goods and services.
4. Cost Management & Process Optimisation
o Perform spend analysis, cost benchmarking, and procurement reporting to identify savings opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
o Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to manage procurement budgets, forecast spending, and monitor realized cost savings.
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement workflows, sourcing efficiency, and supplier performance.
o Identify opportunities for process automation, procurement digitalisation, and operational streamlining.
o Support procurement policy development and implementation of best practices across the organization.
o Develop and track procurement savings initiatives, cost avoidance measures, and operational efficiencies.
o Monitor market pricing trends and conduct regular cost comparisons to ensure competitive procurement practices.
o Evaluate procurement data and reporting metrics to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
o Recommend cost-effective sourcing alternatives while maintaining quality, compliance, and service standards.
o Support budget planning exercises and annual procurement forecasting activities.
o Participate in procurement transformation and system enhancement projects.
o Promote standardization and process harmonization across procurement and sourcing functions.
5. Supply Chain, Logistics & Inventory Support
o Collaborate closely with supply chain, logistics, warehousing, and inventory teams to ensure smooth operational coordination and supply continuity.
o Support inventory planning and procurement scheduling based on demand forecasts, operational requirements, and stock levels.
o Monitor supplier lead times, logistics performance, inventory turnover, and fulfilment timelines to minimise disruptions and excess inventory.
o Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure timely delivery, stock availability, and inventory accuracy.
o Support contingency planning and alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.
o Work closely withlogistics providers and freight partners to optimize transportation costs anddelivery performance.
o Monitor inventory ageing, stock obsolescence, and replenishment cycles to improve inventory efficiency.
o Support implementation of inventory control measures and stock reconciliation activities.
o Assist in resolving shipment delays, customs clearance issues, and logistics-related operational challenges.
o Coordinate procurement and delivery schedules to support product launches, campaigns, and operational priorities.
o Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, shipping documentation, and operational procedures where applicable.
o Support warehouse optimization and inventory accuracy initiatives to improve operational performance.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration &Stakeholder Management
o Collaborate with Technology, Operations, E-commerce, Product, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Logistics teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
o Provide procurement expertise and commercial recommendations to support operational planning, business expansion, and strategic initiatives.
o Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal governance exercises related to procurement and vendor management.
o Prepare procurement reports, sourcing analyses, vendor performance updates, and management presentations.
o Contribute to strategic projects, transformation initiatives, and organisational procurement improvement programmes.
o Act as a key procurement advisor to internal stakeholders on sourcing strategies, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
o Facilitate stakeholder discussions to align procurement priorities, timelines, and project requirements.
o Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance requirements are met.
o Support senior management with procurement insights, risk assessments, and commercial recommendations.
o Participate in business continuity planning and operational risk management activities relatedto procurement and supply chain operations.
o Coordinate with regional and global teams on procurement initiatives and supplier management activities where applicable.
o Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote procurement best practices and policy awareness across the organization.
