The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. At Training Command (based in Home Team Academy at Choa Chu Kang), our mission is to train and develop the core and professional competencies of SPF Officers. Through formulating sound training policies, enhancing training capabilities, developing appropriate training programs, and instilling a culture of learning together through working together, we strive to develop SPF officers into professional individuals and dynamic leaders.

As a Procurement Officer in Training Command, you play an important role in ensuring effective and efficient administration support to help in the achieving of our organisational goals. You will assist internal customers directly in their procurement by providing advice and guidance while adhering to government procurement rules.

You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.

What You Will Be Working On

You will be trained to carry out procurement operations proficiently using the relevant financial systems, and at the same time, adhering to the finance & procurement related legislations and policies and applying the relevant procedures.

You must be comfortable managing a high volume of work with our various users to ensure audit accountability. You would also be required to process some financial transactions promptly, within a stipulated timeframe.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a meticulous, proactive and dynamic individual to be part of our Finance & Procurement Team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior exposure to Finance, Supply Chain Management or Accounting in school or at work may be an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills and is prepared to handle a high volume of requests
  • Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out your responsibilities with minimum supervision;
  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good time management and be able to meet tight deadlines;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP would be an advantage.
