Job Description:

• Oversees the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of goods and services to meet organizational needs while ensuring cost-efficiency and quality.
• Maintains supplier relationships, monitors inventory levels, and ensures compliance with procurement policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in purchasing of products and raw materials for the company
• Coordinating with shippers, couriers and freight forwarders to handle import and export of cargo via both airfreight and sea-freight
• Preparation of cargo and shipping documents for exports
• Correspondence with the shipper/couriers/freight forwarder on any discrepancy or damage shipments
• Liaising with warehouse to manage inventory
• Perform daily data entries of shipments update into the system
• Assisting in the development and implementation of procurement strategies in coordination with relevant stakeholders
• Any other duties assigned by the Procurement Manager

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field
• Preferably with Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Possess good interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills
• Familiar with handling of life science/biochemical products will be an advantage
