Newly created role to lead and execute procurement, sourcing, supplier and supply chain strategies for a US data centre facilities operations / maintenance in the APAC regions.
Procurement focuses on capital equipment & MRO category for facilities systems / equipment, spares parts and maintenance services
1. Regional OPEX & MRO Procurement
- Lead regional procurement strategy for OPEX and MRO categories in alignment with global procurement frameworks.
- Manage demand consolidation, standardization, and specification optimization across sites.
- Ensure continuity of supply while balancing cost, quality, and service levels.
2. Strategic Sourcing & Tender Management
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFx, tenders, and negotiations.
- Conduct market analysis and total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations.
- Work with Operations and Engineering to ensure scope of work meet the organization need
3. Contract & Supplier Management
- Manage procurement contract, service contract, SLAs and pricing agreement for OPEX & MRO
- Lead contract renewals negotiation and supplier performance reviews
- Establish and monitor supplier performance using KPIs and lead corrective actions where required.
- Conduct supplier risk assessment activities in areas of business continuity, critical spare part availability and supply chain support
4. Cost Management & Value Creation
- Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation initiatives (cost reduction, strategic sourcing, negotiations, demand management)
- Track, validate and report procurement performance and financial impact
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cost transparency for OPEX spend
5. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted business partner to data centre operations and engineering team
- Align procurement strategies with operations-led projects through guidance and governance
- Work with Finance on budget control and financial compliance
Requirement
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant qualification
- 10 years of supply chain management experience in area of capital equipment, facilities system, MRO and service contract procurement
- Proven experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, high-tech manufacturing facilities
- Given experience managing regional equipment suppliers, spares support and service contracts
- Prefer procurement experience in Facilities systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, utilities, building systems) Equipment (operational, technical, plant, or facility-related), Spare parts (critical and non-critical spares), Maintenance services (preventive, corrective, and outsourced maintenance)
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Able to work as an individual contributor
- Work location: town area / hybrid work arrangement / travel to DC site in West and East
