Job Description: Procurement Manager

Position Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all procurement activities to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and compliant sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. The role supports operational needs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and effective cost control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes, including sourcing, tendering, and purchasing
  • Evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and services to support operations and projects
  • Monitor procurement budgets and control costs
  • Establish and maintain supplier performance and evaluation systems
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with internal departments (finance, operations, project teams)
  • Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing
  • Lead, supervise, and guide procurement team members
  • Maintain proper procurement records, reports, and documentation

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or related field
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and supplier management
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and analyze costs
  • Strong leadership and decision‑making skills
  • Proficient in procurement systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or industrial procurement
  • Familiarity with local and overseas supplier markets
  • Knowledge of contract management and risk mitigation

Working Conditions

  • Office‑based with regular coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Occasional site visits or supplier meetings may be required
