Procurement Manager
Our client is looking for an experienced procurement professional to drive sourcing, vendor management, and procurement operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business units by understanding operational needs and recommending suitable procurement solutions.
- Manage sourcing and purchasing activities for strategic and high-value contracts while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of procurement frameworks, policies, and operational guidelines.
- Maintain adherence to corporate governance standards, procurement controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure service quality, cost competitiveness, and reliable delivery performance.
- Drive commercial discussions and contractnegotiations with suppliers to secure favourable business terms.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to establish sourcing requirements, specifications, and project expectations.
- Support procurement planning and strategic initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and support organisational goals.
- Analyse procurement trends, vendor performance, and spending patterns to generate insights and identify potential cost efficiencies.
- Identify procurement-related risks and recommend mitigation strategies to strengthen operational resilience.
- Support internal and external audit activities by ensuring timely documentation and compliance responses.
- Promote procurement best practices and compliance awareness through stakeholder engagement and continuous process improvements.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives, including the rollout and enhancement of e-procurement systems.
- Provide support, knowledge sharing, and guidance to junior team members as needed.
Requirements
- At least 6 to 9 years of relevantexperience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain operations.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, particularlywithin procurement or materials management functions, would be advantageous.
- Understanding of public sector or regulated procurement environments will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with procurement automation tools and electronic sourcing platforms is preferred.
- Proactive and adaptable team player with strong communication and listening skills to effectively understand business requirements.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate complex challenges into practical solutions.
- Possess strong numerical and analytical skills, coupled with good commercial and financial awareness.
- Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across different business functions.
- Capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-moving environment while meeting deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable facilitating discussions, conducting presentations, and supporting stakeholder training initiatives.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of accountability in all aspects of work.
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, andPowerPoint.
