Procurement Manager (Regional) - Electronic Components Industry

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic direction on procurement actions, approval workflows and thresholds, and tracking related to Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders in Singapore.
- Establish and manage the Singapore procurement team and strategy which identifies, prioritizes, evaluates, and manages our day-to-day procurement needs and opportunities.
- Maintain primary responsibility for the procurement of categories (consumables, equipment, services such as contract labors and local/cross border transports) in Singapore.
- Provide cost analysis on CAPEX buy and/or lease of category purchases and drive cost saving initiatives
- Lead business review meetings with all procurement staff to review compliance and implement improvements and best practices.
- Collaborate with Internal Audit to identify areas of weakness and ensure procurement controls are put in place.
- Establish and enhance supplier relationships to drive sourcing & supplier initiatives to meet or exceed product & service quality, to deliver sustainable cost reductions, while reducing or mitigating risk in the Supply Chain.
- Lead and Manage project procurement, Contract management and preparation/review of contract and agreements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 years of experience in related area with Degree/Diploma or 10 years of experience in related area if lower than Diploma Level
- Seeking candidates in electronic industry - manufacturing or distribution
- 4 years with related experience in managerial/ senior level position
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement strategies, tactics, processes, procedures, and systems.
