Our client is a privately owned shipping company with a solid footprint in the Asian market. As part of their rapid expansion, they are looking to hire a Bunker Procurement Manager to join their Singapore office.
In this role, you will oversee the procurement of marine fuel for the company's fleet of owned and chartered vessels, ensuring adequate supply and safe operating margins to support efficient fleet performance.

about the job
- Take ownership of bunker procurement for the company's fleet.
- Source and evaluate bunker price quotations, and confirm supplier selection with the reporting boss.
- Oversee the supplier evaluation process, focusing on key performance areas such as fuel quality, quantity, and operational reliability.
- Identify and resolve issues related to bunker operations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor, manage, and maintain comprehensive documentation of all bunker activities.
- Liaise with Masters, Operations Managers, and Superintendents to ensure bunkers meet the vessel's technical and operational specifications.
- Handle bunker nominations and coordinate with suppliers, vessels, agents, and relevant internal stakeholders, including tracking surveyor appointments through to bunker delivery.
- Possess strong knowledge of the marine industry, particularly in bunkering, with a solid understanding of fuel quantity, quality, and operational challenges.
skills and experience required
- Preferably 3-5 years relevant experience in bunker and fuel oil trading
