Position Title: Procurement Manager APAC (OPEX / MRO, Data Centers)

Location: Singapore

Your role

The Procurement Manager APAC is responsible for leading and executing regional OPEX and MRO procurement strategies across data center operations. This role ensures cost efficiency, supply continuity, supplier performance, and compliance while supporting mission-critical data center reliability and uptime.

The role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, ESG, and HSSE teams to manage service contracts, spare parts, maintenance vendors, and operational suppliers across multiple APAC markets.

What You'll Do

  • Regional OPEX & MRO Procurement
  • Own and manage APAC-wide OPEX and MRO categories, including but not limited to:
  • Electrical & mechanical maintenance services
  • UPS, batteries, generators, switchgear, transformers MRO
  • Critical spare parts and consumables
  • Facilities maintenance, FM services, and specialist contractors
  • Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, performance, and risk.
  • Drive supplier consolidation and standardization across regions where feasible.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Tender Management
  • Lead RFx activities (RFI, RFP, RFQ), including scope definition, commercial strategy, bid evaluation, negotiation, and award recommendations.
  • Ensure sourcing activities align with spend thresholds, approval authorities, and procurement policies.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to ensure scopes of work (SOWs) are technically robust and operationally fit-for-purpose.
  • Contract & Supplier Management
  • Manage MSAs, service contracts, SLAs, and pricing agreements for OPEX and MRO suppliers.
  • Lead contract renewals, renegotiations, and performance reviews to ensure value delivery.
  • Establish and manage supplier KPIs, including cost, quality, response time, safety, and compliance.
  • Support supplier risk management, including business continuity, spare availability, and critical supplier dependency.
  • Cost Management & Value Creation
  • Deliver measurable cost savings and cost avoidance through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and demand management.
  • Track, validate, and report savings in line with the company's cost-saving playbook and governance framework.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost transparency for regional OPEX spend.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary procurement business partner for Data Center Operations and Engineering teams across APAC.
  • Support operations-led projects by providing procurement guidance, commercial expertise, and award governance.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budget control, accruals, and financial compliance.
  • Governance, Compliance & ESG
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, delegation of authority, and applicable local regulations.
  • Support supplier audits, ethical sourcing, and ESG initiatives, including modern slavery, labor standards, and HSSE compliance.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation and audit trails.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • 8 years of procurement experience, with strong exposure to OPEX and MRO categories.
  • Proven experience supporting data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial plants, or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong experience managing regional APAC suppliers and contracts across multiple countries.
  • Solid knowledge of RFx processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Preferred
    • Experience in UPS, generators, electrical systems, cooling systems, or critical infrastructure MRO.
    • Exposure to data center operations or hyperscale / colocation environments.
    • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, PMP) are an advantage.
