Job Summary
Manage end-to-end procurement and logistics to support SolarGy's project execution by sourcing materials cost-effectively, ensuring quality compliance, and coordinating timely delivery with suppliers and project teams.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for PV components, equipment, and related materials to meet project needs
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure cost-effective procurement
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) following company procedures to ensure compliance
- Verify procured items meet technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers to ensure reliable supply
- Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, and delivery reliability and resolve supply issues such as delays and defects
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audit and traceability
- Collaborate with Project and Operations teams to plan and fulfill material requirements for ongoing and urgent projects
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track material issuance to ensure proper cost allocation and accountability
- Manage loan stock by ensuring timely return and proper reconciliation
- Plan and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules
- Consolidate shipments and optimize delivery planning to reduce costs and carbon footprint
- Manage import/export processes including shipment documentation and customs clearance
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery execution and avoid storage charges
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles
- Experience in construction, electrical, or metal works industry
- Strong negotiation and cost management skills demonstrated through supplier contract discussions
- High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline to maintain procurement records
- Analytical capability for cost comparison and supplier evaluation to support sourcing decisions
- Effective coordination and communication skills to collaborate with project teams and suppliers
