Job Summary
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Executive with a Quantity Surveying (QS) background to support our procurement and contracts operations. The successful candidate will assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring alignment with cost budgets and BCA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning & Execution
- Source and evaluate quotations for construction materials, equipment, services, and subcontractor works in line with project BOQs and specifications.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to achieve cost reductions.
- Ensure all procured materials and services meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with the stakeholders to address any quality issues promptly.
- Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders (POs) in accordance with internal approval processes.
- Monitor order status, coordinate timely deliveries, and support site logistics planning.
- Maintain and update an approved list of vendors and subcontractors based on performance and compliance checks.
- Assist in vendor performance reviews and ensure delivery standards meet safety and environmental requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation of all procurement transactions in line with ISO and BCA audit standards.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support regulatory submissions and compliance checks.
Quantity Surveying Support
- Communicate with QS team members to gather information for inviting quotes
- Sourcing for subcontractors, suppliers and vendors
- Tabulate quotations for cost comparison
- Support Quantity Surveyors in managing site progress activities
- Support Quantity Surveyors in monitoring cost
- Perform quantity takeoff
Role Requirements:
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience in construction procurement or QS roles.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
- Able to read drawings/specifications/preambles.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with public sector projects (e.g., HDB, LTA, PUB).
- Willing to work in Potong Pasir / MacPherson area
