Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description & Requirements

As a Procurement Exec/Snr Exec, you will responsible for managing Global Procurement Strategies to optimize costs, and Supplier relationships across Makino Group's operations. You will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives to enhance competitiveness, efficiency and profitability.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Global Procurement Strategy:

  • Plan and execute strategies aligned with Company's objectives

  • Identify procurement opportunities and potential Suppliers

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Suppliers

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, securing favorable Terms and Conditions

Cost Optimization:

  • Implement cost-effective procurement strategies to achieve saving targets

  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities

Risk Management:

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with global procurement activities

  • Develop contingency plans to ensure Assurance of Supply

Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate to establish quality standards for procured parts

  • Monitor supplier performance and implement quality improvement initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across Makino Group to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business needs

  • Participate in cross functional teams on New Product Realization and initiatives

Compliance and Ethics:

  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to global procurement

  • Promote ethical procurement practices throughout the Supply Chain

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree or Professional Qualification in Supply Chain Management, or any Engineering-related fields.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.

  • Experience in strategic procurement, or supply chain management with focus on global operations.

  • Knowledge of global procurement practices, market dynamics, and supplier relationship management.

  • Negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Effective communication skills, good interpersonal and cross-cultural experiences will be a plus.

  • Ability to communicate in languages other than English will be a plus.

  • Meticulous and detail-orientated.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Able to travel overseas, willingness to relocate overseas.
