We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive (MRO) to support the procurement of Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) materials, spare parts, consumables, and industrial services essential to our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and procure MRO materials, spare parts, equipment, consumables, and services required for production and plant maintenance activities.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and service standards.
- Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate commercial terms to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory levels of critical spare parts and consumables to avoid stock shortages and production disruptions.
- Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, Warehouse, and Finance departments on procurement requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers, particularly suppliers in China.
- Resolve supply-related issues, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, supplier databases, and documentation in compliance with company procedures.
- Track procurement KPIs and provide reports on spending, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical and Automation or in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 4 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing, steel, heavy industry, or industrial environment.
- Experience in sourcing MRO items, maintenance spare parts, industrial equipment, and technical services will be an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Language Requirement
This role requires frequent interaction with Chinese-speaking management teams and suppliers based in China. Therefore, candidates must be fluent in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to effectively communicate, negotiate, review technical and commercial documents, and manage supplier relationships.
