We are a Singapore-based biodiesel producer with our production facility located in Tuas. To support our growing business, our Trading Department is now looking for a motivated and resourceful Procurement Executive - BiodieselFeedstock to join our team.
Position: Procurement Executive - BiodieselFeedstock (UCO / POME / PFAD / PKAO ETC)
Location: Suntec City
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure biodiesel feedstocks, including Used Cooking Oil (UCO), Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME), Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD), Palm Kernel Acid Oil (PKAO) and other related raw materials.
- Develop and manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts and pricing terms.
- Handle trade documentation, purchase orders, shipment schedules, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.
- Work closely with QA/QC to ensure raw material quality and compliance with standards.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Focus on systems and processes to ensure production and procurement comply with standards, preventing errors from the source (e.g. setting feedstock acceptance criteria, supplier audits, procurement process checks).
- Quality Control (QC): Focus on testing and results to verify whether raw materials meet specifications (e.g. checking UCO or POME for Saponification Value, Sulfur Content, impurities, and acid value).
- Collect market intelligence and monitor price trends for feedstock.
- Support trading department in achieving procurement KPIs and cost efficiency.
- Any other ad-hoc related task as supervise from HOD/superior from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- At least 2 years of procurement or trading experience in feedstocks, edible oils, waste oils, palm products, or biofuels preferred.
- Familiar with international trade documents (L/C, B/L, commercial invoice) and logistics operations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Fluent in English and mandarin
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Willing to travel within Southeast Asia if required for supplier development and business expansion.
