Job Summary
You will procure fabrication parts and manage vendor capabilities to support business needs. This role involves overseeing capacity planning, ensuring timely deliveries, and driving material cost reduction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Procure fabrication parts such as sheet metal and machine structures to support various business units within the Group
- Evaluate and qualify vendor capabilities to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and quality standards
- Oversee capacity planning and coordinate deliveries, focusing on long lead items to meet production schedules
- Lead vendor development initiatives to enhance supplier performance and reliability
- Spearhead material cost reduction programs to optimize procurement expenses
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Mechatronics
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Several years of relevant experience with strong understanding of machining processes and material costing
- Strong communication and negotiation skills demonstrated in vendor management contexts
- Established supplier network and contacts to support procurement activities
