Job Summary
A Process Specialist leads production teams and manages manufacturing processes by setting up, operating and maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure efficient, safe and high-quality production output.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams of production operators to achieve daily production targets and maintain product quality
- Set up and adjust machine parameters to optimize production efficiency and product standards
- Operate and maintain production equipment to ensure continuous and safe manufacturing processes
- Follow production schedules and monitor output to meet planned targets
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all products meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve malfunctions promptly
- Maintain accurate production records for raw materials, packaging and finished products
- Ensure the production environment is clean and complies with safety procedures
- Apply and adhere to operating procedures and standards consistently
Required competencies and certifications
- Food Safety and Hygiene-1 certification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Nitec/Higher Nitec in Food Science/Technology or equivalent
- Ability to understand and converse in English
- Experience or knowledge in food production
- Basic knowledge of control systems and operation of PLC
- Basic understanding of food processing technology
- Experience with integrated manufacturing excellence, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or similar operating systems
- Willingness to work on rotating shifts (day and night)
