What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
- Lead or co-lead moderately complex projects, managing time and resources effectively, and provide guidance within the Department.
- Apply skills and discipline knowledge to contribute to departmental work, making decisions to resolve moderately complex problems and developing new options in non-standard situations.
- Operate independently in ambiguous situations, receiving instruction on unusual or complex problems, and determining objectives of assignments.
- Review your own work, seek directional review from others, and mentor colleagues by reviewing their work.
- Utilize judgment and experience to potentially become a resource for others, offering expert advice on establishing new production facilities.
- Address occupational safety, hazardous substance management, fire and explosion protection, and machine and system safety, engaging in OSHA inspections and managing subsequent procedures.
- Guide operational teams in project management, forecasting resource needs, and identifying areas for improvement in products, processes, or services.
- Facilitate agreements between teams, drive the development of new methodologies and concepts, and monitor compliance and Environmental, Health & Safety performance.
- Provide advice and support on implementing Pfizer Health & Safety standards, conduct workplace condition assessments, and offer technical support to site safety and industrial hygiene programs.
- Liaise with regulatory compliance organizations, partner with site business functions, update the site emergency plan, investigate injuries and fatalities, conduct safe work procedures training, and coach and develop a diverse team to drive a culture of performance and process excellence.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- BA/BS with at least 4 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 2 years of experience or PhD/JD with any years of experience or associate's degree with at least 8 years of experience or high School Diploma (or Equivalent) with at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Solid grasp of safety and environmental programs, along with key processes
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Master's degree with relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teams
- Experience in project management
- Professional experience as an EHS specialist or safety specialist
