Duties:
- Support Creative Laboratories by partnering closely with flavorists to develop process materials that enhance flavor creations and performance.
- Develop process materials that comply with regional regulatory and certification requirements, including Halal, Kosher, and other relevant standards.
- Oversee the introduction, transfer, and localization of process formulas from global affiliates to ensure smooth integration into the regional/ local operations.
- Scale up process formulations within internal production facilities or in collaboration with OEM partners.
- Identify, assess, and engage suitable OEM partners to support the scaleup and manufacturing of process materials.
- Collaborate with government agencies, research institutions, and universities to evaluate, introduce, or co-develop new technologies relevant to the company's innovation strategy.
- Assess emerging technologies, extraction methods, encapsulation systems, bioprocesses, or reaction technologies for potential adoption.
- Develop and manage a structured innovation pipeline, ensuring strong project prioritization, risk assessment, and alignment with business strategy.
- Drive ideation workshops with Flavorists, Marketing, Applications, and Sales to generate new innovation concepts and whitespace opportunities.
- Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and testing of laboratory and process equipment, ensuring suitability for product and technology development needs.
- Ensure strong safety practices by enforcing compliance with laboratory safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Conduct technical risk assessments for new raw materials or processes and propose mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical support and expertise to internal departments and global affiliates as required.
- Develop proofofconcept prototypes to demonstrate new technologies internally or to global affiliates.
- Guide technologists in managing projects, ensuring smooth progress, proper documentation, and proactive identification of opportunities.
- Provide training, coaching, and hands-on guidance to technologists, particularly when introducing new technologies, equipment, or processes.
- Ensure full compliance with all internal procedures, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and external legal standards.
- Partner with Sensory & Applications teams to validate new process materials for efficacy, stability, and performance.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure manufacturability, costeffectiveness, and supply chain readiness for new materials.
Qualifications:
- Post-Graduate Degree in Food Technology/ Chemistry or equivalent in 5-10 years of similar experience
- Good Knowledge of Chemistry
- Good Sensory evaluation skill / Organoleptic skill
- Knowledge of flavour chemicals
- Knowledge of flavour-related products
- Laboratory procedures and methodology
- Good communication and presentation skills
