The Role
As a Senior Analyst, Process Improvement & Business Continuity, you will work closely with various departments to understand how critical business activities are currently performed, document end-to-end workflows and identify operational gaps, risks and inefficiencies.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging stakeholders, examining complex processes and translating findings into clear process maps and practical improvement recommendations. You should be comfortable taking ownership of detailed documentation while influencing stakeholders to adopt more effective and resilient ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage stakeholders across multiple business functions to understand existing processes, responsibilities, dependencies and control requirements.
- Conduct interviews and workshops to gather business requirements and document current-state workflows.
- Develop clear and detailed end-to-end process maps using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Miro or equivalent platforms.
- Analyse workflows to identify gaps, bottlenecks, duplicated activities, control weaknesses and operational risks.
- Recommend practical process improvements that strengthen efficiency, governance and business resilience.
- Review and document critical business processes, systems, resources and interdepartmental dependencies.
- Support business impact assessments and business continuity planning across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain business continuity documentation, procedures, process repositories and supporting records.
- Coordinate with process owners to validate documentation and ensure that workflows remain accurate and current.
- Facilitate discussions between departments to resolve process gaps and clarify roles, responsibilities and handover points.
- Track improvement initiatives, follow up on action items and support the implementation of agreed recommendations.
- Prepare management reports, presentations and progress updates for key stakeholders.
- Support continuity exercises, process reviews and other organisation-wide resilience initiatives when required.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Hands-on process-mapping experience is mandatory for this position.
- Demonstrated experience in documenting detailed current-state and future-state workflows.
- Proficient in process-mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio, Miro, Lucidchart or equivalent.
- Experience in business process improvement, operational excellence, business analysis, business continuity or risk management.
- Strong analytical ability to connect issues across different functions and identify underlying process gaps.
- Confident in conducting stakeholder interviews, facilitating workshops and gathering detailed business requirements.
- Able to manage resistance, challenge existing practices constructively and influence stakeholders at different seniority levels.
- Strong documentation, presentation and report-writing skills.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Experience within maritime, logistics, transportation or another complex multinational environment would be advantageous.
