About The Role
The role will support the delivery of automation initiatives by partnering with internal teams and business users to identify solution opportunities and translating requirements into effective automation outcomes. The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using enterprise approved automation tools such as Python, UiPath, TestSigma, and GenAI enabled solutions, while also performing hands on testing and simple to medium complexity development activities.
Working closely with Business Analysts and delivery teams, the Specialist will develop test plans, test scenarios, and automated test cases to ensure adequate test coverage and alignment with business and operational requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, a structured and process driven approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology stakeholders to support timely and high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using UiPath, TestSigma and GenAIenabled solutions to support UI and API testing across multiple platforms within Life Operations.
- Execute endtoend automated testing for frontend applications (e.g. AIA+, EZ suites) and backend platforms (e.g. Integral Life AS400, Case 360 Workflow) to ensure functional accuracy, system stability, and regression coverage.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, developers, and delivery teams to embed automated testing into delivery workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- To develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases, ensuring alignment with documented business requirements and operational processes.
- Ensure adequate test coverage across systems, analyse test failures and defects, and continuously improve automation reliability, performance, and execution efficiency.
- Familiar with Agile, Kaizen, and process optimisation methodologies to drive continuous improvement in testing and quality assurance practices.
- Establish clear documentation, set process automation standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability across projects.
- Develop and conduct code reviews of automated test scripts to ensure quality, compliance with standards, and longterm maintainability.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on automation metrics (measurable outcomes and benefits), including test coverage, execution performance, and defect detection effectiveness.
- Provide knowledge sharing, guidance, and mentoring to uplift team capability and promote best practices for process and test automation
- Partner with business and operational stakeholders to align testing and automation strategies with business objectives, risk considerations, and operational priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimally 4-5 years in performing end to end solution for process/ test automation across multiple applications and platforms.
- Experienced in programming knowledge (e.g: Python, Selenium, Appium)
- Experienced with automation platforms & tools: UiPath (Test Suite), TestSigma
- Familiar with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) is a good to have.
- Experience in Prompt Engineering and Agentic AI applications will be an added advantage. (e.g: Dify)
- Experience in Life Insurance operations is an advantage.
- Familiar with Agile & Software Development Life Cycles
- Ability to design and document test plans in collaboration with BAs and stakeholders.
- Good verbal & written communication interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in fast paced, challenging environment while attending to multiple projects
