Job Overview
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, and sustaining advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes. This role focuses on improving equipment performance, process stability, and production readiness while supporting new product development and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize equipment processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and product quality
Analyze equipment performance data, conduct process studies, and implement process control strategies
Lead equipment qualification activities, including FAT and SAT
Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement using Six Sigma, SPC, and Lean methodologies
Support new product development, equipment scaling, and customer technical escalations
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and customer teams
Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and risk assessments
Train internal teams and provide on-site customer support when required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Minimum 3+ years experience in process or application engineering within semiconductor equipment manufacturing
Strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment, manufacturing processes, and process integration
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, Minitab) and process improvement methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and qualification
Knowledge of automation, control systems, vacuum systems, and cleanroom environments
Programming (Excel macros or Python) and CAD experience is an advantage
