Overview
Main purpose of the
Process Engineer role is to support manufacturing, maintenance and projects as the Process Engineering Expert for process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, Capex design review, execution, commissioning and validation, nRFT improvement, new product validation and Work Instruction review.
The role is also expected to lead productivity, operational performance and quality improvement projects through Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen capability.
Responsibilities
What you will be responsible for:
- Support Salts, Liquid & Utilities Operations on root cause analysis, quality KPIs improvement and validations of new equipment and products.
- Support maintenance on troubleshooting of process related issues, LOTO and maintenance strategy.
- Lead sustainability agenda to deliver Water & Energy targets. Act as point of contact for site Pep+ initiatives.
- Act as the site water management expert including coordination with PUB on water management plans.
- Lead and support the design, installation, commissioning and validation for site and Strategic Capital Projects primarily (but not limited to) related to Salts & Liquid Processing, Filling and Utilities.
- Support production planner to optimize the SAP Master Data Parameters related to system and equipment (work center) capability and capacity in Liquid Processing.
- Support Utilities & Facilities Lead on day to day operation of Utilities systems as well as process troubleshooting.
- Approve the new and updated Manufacturing Work Instructions for Singapore plant.
- Act as the site main point of contact for R&D Engineering and Product Development.
- Lead the efficiency, quality, performance improvement projects in operations related to both process and equipment improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for compliance with GMP requirements including being point of contact for coordinating FSSC and AIB audits related activities for Engineering department.
- Responsible for EHS audits relating to safety compliance on Process and Engineering.
- Responsible to ensure that all design works completed for Liquid Processing by 3rd Party are in compliance with corporate and regulatory hygienic design and GMP requirements, ATEX Standards as well as meeting the operations KPIs and criteria.
- Participate in HAZOP reviews to ensure that any changes to liquid processes are in compliance with EHS standards and requirements.
- Any other ad hoc duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Food Engineering
- Additional qualifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green / Black Belt) and Kaizen would be preferred
- Experience in improvement projects (Lean Six Sigma) an added advantage
- Minimum 3 years as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing plant, Food & Beverage / Pharma manufacturing experience will be preferred
- Experience in plant process installation, commissioning and validation in accordance with GMP would be preferred
- Sustainability (water & energy) program management experience preferred
- In-depth understanding of process design and engineering principles and technologies
- In-depth knowledge to comprehend and review engineering drawings and P&IDs
- Knowledge of ATEX principles and requirements and experience in HAZOP is preferred
- Strong team management and leadership skills to manage cross functional teams to deliver improvements and capital projects
- Demonstrated success in project management
- Analytical skill with ability to collect and analyze data to generate insights
- Demonstrated history of positive interpersonal skill showing courtesy, tact and understanding in interactions with co-workers, even under stressful circumstances is required
- Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated
- Ability to work without close supervision in a team-based environment is essential for this position
