1. Process Development & Optimization
- Develop, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and implement manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose corrective/preventive actions.
2. New Product / Process Introduction (NPI)
- Support new product introduction by preparing process flow, work instructions, and production layouts.
- Coordinate trials, validate equipment, and ensure smooth transition from pilot to mass production.
3. Equipment & Tooling Management
- Specify, evaluate, and implement new machinery, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ensure proper calibration and capability of equipment.
4. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality issues using root cause analysis methods (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
- Implement process controls and monitor key parameters to maintain stable quality levels.
- Work with QA and production teams to meet ISO/TS/IATF requirements.
5. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and update work instructions, SOPs, control plans, PFMEA, and process change documents.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
6. Production Support
- Provide technical support to production teams on daily process issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process abnormalities to minimize downtime.
- Train operators and supervisors on new processes or equipment.
7. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Logistic and Purchasing teams.
- Participate in customer audits and support technical discussions with suppliers.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related discipline)
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process flow, and production control
- Experience in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, TQM, 5why)
- Ability to conduct process analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Familiar with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3
- Hands-on experience with process documentation (SOP, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans)
- Basic understanding of cost reduction, yield improvement, and cycle time optimization
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams
- Willingness to support shop-floor activities and continuous improvement initiatives
