Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Process Engineer (Mechanical Equipment) to support the design and execution of complex plant engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoCAD 2D, as well as preparing key technical documentation and coordinating with project stakeholders. This role also includes overseas travel for on-site commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and manage PFD and P&ID drawings using AutoCAD 2D to reflect accurate process and equipment design.
- Prepare related technical documentation including Material Take-Offs (MTO), process descriptions, equipment specifications, and operation manuals.
- Ensure all process documentation aligns with project requirements, safety standards, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers to integrate process designs with system requirements.
- Coordinate with Customers and Contractors to manage project communication, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
- Provide technical support during the procurement, fabrication, and installation phases.
- Participate in overseas site visits to assist with system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure accurate documentation of as-built conditions and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Proven experience in 2D process design using AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of PFD and P&ID standards, process documentation, and plant equipment (e.g., pumps, vessels, valves, heat exchangers).
- Familiarity with technical documentation such as MTOs, process manuals, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage client and contractor interactions.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally for on-site commissioning and project support.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
