Private Wealth Management (PWM) Asia
Private Wealth Management Asia provides highly customized financial advice, investment solutions and brokerage services to Ultra High Net Worth individuals, families and family offices.
Within PWM, Relationship Managers are responsible for developing and managing long-term relationships with Ultra High Net Worth clients, identifying investment opportunities and working with the Firm's investment, sales, trading, research and advisory resources to develop and execute appropriate investment strategies.
The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong client relationship management capabilities with sophisticated investment knowledge, commercial judgment and the ability to work effectively within an established coverage team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage long-term relationships with Ultra High Net Worth individuals, families and family offices, with a strong understanding of clients personal, family and business needs.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of client profiles, investment objectives, liquidity requirements, risk appetite and broader wealth-management needs.
- Advise clients on investment strategies across multiple asset classes and develop tailored solutions designed to meet their investment objectives and risk parameters.
- Originate new client opportunities and contribute to business development, prospecting and broader sales and marketing initiatives.
- Work closely with senior Relationship Managers and the Firm's investment, capital markets, sales, trading, research and product specialists to provide coordinated solutions to sophisticated clients.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage complex client situations involving multiple stakeholders, entities, jurisdictions, asset classes and investment objectives.
- Generate and communicate high-quality investment ideas, including the use of quantitative and portfolio analysis to assess investment opportunities, portfolio construction, risk and trade implementation.
- Provide clients with access to a broad range of investment solutions, including public and private markets, structured investments, financing solutions and other sophisticated wealth-management strategies, where appropriate.
- Contribute to the development and execution of client acquisition and wallet-deepening strategies, including the ability to identify opportunities across a client's broader family, business and investment ecosystem.
- Work collaboratively within an established coverage team, demonstrating strong judgment, responsiveness and the ability to operate effectively in a high-performance, team-oriented environment.
- Maintain a strong risk and compliance culture and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements applicable to the investment advisory and wealth-management business.
- Aspire to achieve individual and team performance objectives, including client development, revenue generation, asset gathering and adherence to the Firm's risk and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- Approximately 4 years, or an equivalent level, of relevant experience in private banking, private wealth management, investment advisory or a closely related client-facing financial-services role.
- Demonstrated experience advising Ultra High Net Worth clients or family offices on sophisticated investment and wealth-management matters.
- Strong knowledge across multiple asset classes, with the ability to discuss portfolio construction, investment strategy, market themes and risk considerations with sophisticated investors.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex investment concepts and market developments into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
- Experience working with a broad investment platform and coordinating effectively across investment specialists, product teams, capital markets, trading, research and other internal partners.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships involving multiple family members, entities, advisers or decision-makers and the ability to navigate differing investment objectives and priorities.
- Strong commercial track record in developing new relationships, expanding existing client relationships and identifying opportunities across a client's broader wealth and investment needs.
- Ability to combine relationship-management skills with analytical investment capabilities, including experience using portfolio and quantitative analysis to support investment recommendations and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively as part of a senior coverage team, including managing client interactions jointly, coordinating investment advice and maintaining continuity across complex relationships.
- Strong understanding of the risk, suitability and regulatory considerations relevant to serving sophisticated private-wealth clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, including the ability to engage credibly with entrepreneurs, principals, family-office professionals and other sophisticated decision-makers.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of judgment, discretion, attention to detail and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CPWP, CFA or other recognized investment or wealth-management qualifications are preferred.
