Job Description

Role: AP Psychology Tutor

Location: Remote/Online

Reporting To: Director of Operations

Hours: Flexible work arrangement

Academy Prt is seeking an AP Psychology Tutor to support high school students in preparing for the AP Psychology exam in May. The tutor will deliver structured lessons, reinforce key concepts, and guide students toward strong exam performance.

We are looking for a candidate who possess the following:

• Strong command of AP Psychology curriculum and the proven ability to explain complex concepts clearly to different student needs
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to engage effectively with students and provide clear academic feedback
• Highly organized and detail oriented in managing lesson plans, scheduling, and student progress tracking
• Comfortable using online teaching tools and platforms, including video conferencing and shared digital resources
• Patient, encouraging, and engaging personality with a genuine passion for teaching and student development
• Ability to motivate students and build confidence in exam taking strategies

Specific responsibilities include the following:

• Deliver one on one AP Psychology tutoring sessions tailored to student's level
• Develop structured lesson plans aligned with the AP Psychology curriculum and exam format
• Prepare students for the AP exam through targeted practice, including multiple choice questions and free response questions
• Track and monitor student progress, identifying strengths and areas for improvement
• Provide regular feedback and updates to students and internal team members on academic performance
• Support students in developing effective study habits, critical thinking skills, and exam strategies
• Ensure a high standard of teaching quality and student satisfaction across all sessions
