About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Pre-sales Leader to drive solution consulting engagements for banking clients across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
This is a senior individual contributor role focused on:
- Engaging C-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO)
- Shaping complex solution strategies
- Supporting high-value, enterprise-level opportunities
You will act as a trusted advisor, combining strong technical expertise with business acumen to drive digital transformation and win strategic deals.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Client Engagement
- Engage senior stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, business leaders) to understand transformation priorities
- Act as a trusted advisor on banking technology and digital transformation initiatives
- Build strong relationships and influence decision-making
Solution Leadership (Technical Focus)
- Lead end-to-end solution design for complex banking opportunities
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and solution strategies
- Define compelling value propositions aligned with client needs
- Work closely with internal engineering and delivery teams
Pre-sales & Deal Support
- Drive high-value opportunities across the full pre-sales lifecycle
- Lead solution presentations to both technical and business stakeholders
- Support RFPs, proposals, and bid responses
- Participate in POC and solution validation activities
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with sales, product, and delivery teams to ensure alignment
- Contribute to reusable solution frameworks and best practices
Market & Industry Insight
- Stay updated on banking technology trends (core banking, payments, digital channels)
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies and solution evolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in technical pre-sales or solution consulting roles
- Strong hands-on experience in banking / financial services environments
- Solid understanding of banking systems (core banking, payments, channels, risk, etc.)
- Proven ability to design and present complex technical solutions and architectures
- Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders
- Strong ability to bridge business needs and technical architecture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in digital transformation or large-scale system modernization initiatives
Language Requirements
- Strong proficiency in English is required as it is the primary working language.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and headquarters based in China.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in banking technology environments (e.g. core banking, payments, digital banking platforms) is highly preferred
- Background from reputable technology firms, system integrators, or consulting organisations (such as global consulting firms) is an advantage
- Experience working across international markets (SEA / HK)
- Experience in enterprise architecture or solution design roles
