We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Technical Lead to lead Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) and Production Operations for our Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, operational excellence, production support governance, and continuous improvement of a large-scale financial ecosystem operating in a 24x7 environment. This role requires strong expertise in production operations, incident management, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise financial systems.
The ideal candidate should possess deep technical expertise, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and proven experience managing mission-critical banking or FinTech platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations & Service Delivery
- Lead end-to-end AMC technical delivery and ensure compliance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Own production stability and availability for critical Trade Finance and SCF applications.
- Drive incident management activities including troubleshooting, escalation management, root cause analysis (RCA), and permanent resolution implementation.
- Lead technical war room discussions during major production incidents.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of enterprise platforms and supporting infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain production systems built on Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MQ, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, and Graph databases.
Platform Maintenance & Engineering
- Manage application maintenance activities across legacy and modern technology stacks.
- Oversee deployment of hotfixes, patches, security remediation, and incremental releases.
- Ensure security compliance and vulnerability remediation using tools such as Fortify and SonarQube.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to improve platform resilience and operational efficiency.
- Support continuous modernization initiatives within the application ecosystem.
Cloud & Infrastructure Operations
- Manage operational governance across multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Oversee Kubernetes (K8s) cluster operations and ensure platform scalability and availability.
- Ensure regional compliance, disaster recovery readiness, and operational continuity.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Serve as the technical liaison between clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Communicate technical production issues effectively to business and operational stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support teams in troubleshooting, debugging, and operational best practices.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 12-15 years of experience in software engineering and production support.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Technical Support Leadership, Production Engineering, or Application Support within Banking or FinTech environments.
- Strong experience managing large-scale, mission-critical production systems with 24x7 support operations.
Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance processes.
- Knowledge of SWIFT financial messaging standards including MT and MX messages.
- Understanding of accounting entries and trade digitization processes is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MQ.
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Database including performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, Graph databases, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experience maintaining legacy JSP and JavaScript applications.
- Familiarity with workflow frameworks, messaging hubs, and enterprise integration platforms.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with security remediation and vulnerability management tools such as Fortify and SonarQube.
