We are looking for a high-impact, customer-facing Principal Solution Consultant to join our presales team, specializing in Financial Consolidation & Reporting (FCR). This role will be instrumental in driving solution excellence for enterprise customers by combining deep domain expertise in statutory and management consolidation with strong storytelling and technical modeling skills.
You will partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to articulate the value of Anaplan's Financial Consolidation & Reporting solution, helping customers modernize legacy consolidation processes and enable faster, more accurate financial close and reporting. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about transforming finance functions and bringing next-generation consolidation solutions to enterprise customers.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Sales to engage enterprise prospects and customers, identifying challenges across financial consolidation, close, and reporting processes
- Lead discovery conversations to uncover pain points related to statutory consolidation, intercompany eliminations, disclosures, and group reporting
- Design and deliver compelling solution demonstrations tailored to Financial Consolidation & Analysis use cases
- Build and present Proof of Concepts (POCs) that showcase Anaplan's capabilities in consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting
- Translate complex financial and technical concepts into clear, business-relevant narratives for senior stakeholders (Finance, CFO office)
- Support deal strategy, value articulation, and competitive positioning against legacy consolidation tools (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC, OneStream, Tagetik, Cognos)
- Collaborate with Product and GTM teams to refine messaging and provide field feedback
- Enable and mentor peers on FCA domain expertise and solution positioning
- Stay current with regulatory requirements (IFRS, GAAP) and evolving market trends in financial consolidation
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in presales, consulting, or implementation in financial consolidation / financial close solutions
- Strong domain expertise in:
- Statutory and management consolidation
- Financial close and reporting processes
- Intercompany eliminations, ownership structures, multi-entity consolidations
- Disclosure management and regulatory reporting
- Hands-on experience with consolidation platforms such as Hyperion, SAP BPC, OneStream, Tagetik, Cognos Controller, or similar
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAPs)
- Experience in building financial models, multidimensional modeling, or analytics solutions
- Excellent storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills
- Ability to operate in complex enterprise sales cycles and influence multiple stakeholders
- Fast learner with the ability to ramp quickly on new technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
- Experience working with cloud-based EPM or planning platforms
- Exposure to financial planning & analysis (FP&A) is a plus
- Experience working in Asia markets or global consolidation environments
