Principal Cloud Architect
Experienced technology leader with deep expertise in Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Security, Data Security, and Enterprise Platform Engineering. Proven ability to lead enterprise scale cloud and hybrid cloud transformation initiatives across cloud platforms. Trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, delivering secure, scalable, resilient, and cost optimized cloud solutions aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and enterprise governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor cross functional teams of cloud architects, platform engineers, DevSecOps, infrastructure, and cybersecurity professionals, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive enterprise cloud transformation programs, overseeing planning, execution, risk management, resource allocation, budgeting, and successful delivery.
- Establish architecture governance processes, conduct design reviews, and ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Own and lead day to day operations of enterprise cloud infrastructure across production, non-production, and disaster recovery environments.
- Build trusted relationships with executives, customers, vendors, and technology partners to influence strategic decisions and deliver business value.
- Support business development through solution architecture, technical proposals, RFQ responses, customer workshops, effort estimation, and executive presentations.
- Establish secure by design cloud architectures using Zero Trust principles, IAM, PAM, encryption, secrets management, network security, and continuous security monitoring.
- Implement enterprise data security strategies, including data classification, DLP, encryption, tokenization, data masking, database security, and compliance controls.
- Lead adoption of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, automation, observability, disaster recovery, resilience engineering, and FinOps cost optimization.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement CSPM, CNAPP, CWPP, SIEM integration, vulnerability management, and cloud security governance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computers or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering leadership.
- Strong expertise in cloud governance, risk management, compliance, security best practices, and enterprise cloud strategy.
- Proven experience leading architecture teams, mentoring senior engineers, and driving cloud transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing mission critical production environments with strict SLA/SLO requirements.
