Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Direct and guide teams and contractors provide technical knowledge and leadership with respect to the Company's Community Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, Land Access and Acquisition, Compensation and Resettlement programs, Livelihood Restoration programs, Community Development programs and human rights topics (Social related issues) to ensure compliance with Guinean laws and the IFC Performance Standards.

2. Participate and supervise the finalization and implementation of the ESIAs/ESMPs for the Mine and infrastructures (Port, Railway, Airport & other related facilities) projects according to IFC Performance standards, Guinean laws and/or relevant Conventions.

3. Oversee risk assessments, management systems and procedures/Standard Operating Procedures of Social related issues.

4. Develop indicators, targets and objectives for Social related issues to support an adaptive management approach through different dedicated Management Plans.

5. Develop implementing documents together with the international consultants to ensure Social related Management Plans are implemented in line with ESIA commitments and to the satisfaction of Guinean authorities.

6. Assess, prepare and deliver training tools for social related issues, including sessions to all staff and contractors on a regular basis.

7. Identify supporting institutions and partners (including NGOs) for collaboration on Social related programs.

8. Monitor, manage and improve KPIs complete audits and reviews.

9. Coordinate and manage social related activities of all ESIAs consultants, field related or remotely.

10. Ensure E&S compliance with Social legislation and best practices, and keep up to date with the country regulation and legislation.

11. Follow up Social related information management, in particular proper documentation of all social related activities and data accuracy (QA/QC).

12. Provide analysis report on Social performance for projects, supervise and provide input into daily, weekly, monthly and annual progress reports.

13. Liaise with Environment, Biodiversity, security and/or Health and safety teams, to deliver the integrated solutions for compliance and best practices.

14. Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Company.

Job Requirements:

1. A degree in humanities and social science / Law related discipline or academic equivalencies.

2. 10 years minimum experience is required, preferably with African exposure and good knowledge of the IFC Performance Standards and World bank EHS Guidelines.

3. Adhering to ethical principles of the profession and acting in accordance with professional standards, local laws and company policies & procedures.

4. Fluent in Mandarin and English or French, in order to liaise with the English (French) & Chinese speaking associates.

5. Willing to travel to Guinea, West Africa frequently.
