The role will provide process engineering leadership across feasibility, pre‑FEED, FEED and EPCM project phases, ensuring safe, compliant, cost‑effective and operationally sound process designs. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project management, clients and the supply chain to successfully deliver project objectives in line with Wood's standards, systems and values.

What We Can Offer

Responsibilities

As a Principal Process Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and accountability across the full project lifecycle. You will:

  • Lead and deliver process engineering activities in compliance with HSEQ standards, project procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Act as Process Lead Engineer, providing technical leadership, mentoring and oversight to process engineers and designers
  • Develop and deliver key process engineering outputs, including PFDs, P&IDs, simulations, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, datasheets, control philosophies, feasibility and process safety studies
  • Ensure all technical deliverables are prepared, reviewed, verified and approved in accordance with applicable codes, standards, legislation and Wood quality requirements
  • Ensure process designs meet operational, safety and constructability requirements, supporting constructability and design reviews as required
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, project management, clients and vendors to deliver cost‑effective, safe and fit‑for‑purpose solutions within budget and schedule
  • Support resource planning, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives, and provide technical input to proposals, tenders and project execution planning

Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise and leadership capability in process engineering, combined with the ability to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Key requirements include:

  • Degree‑qualified in Chemical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's level or equivalent)
  • 10–20 years of experience in process design engineering across feasibility, pre‑FEED, FEED and EPCM project phases
  • Proven experience in downstream Oil & Gas projects, including LNG terminals and FSRU facilities, with refinery or petrochemical experience highly desirable
  • Strong technical capability in process design development, including simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, hydraulics, and flare and relief systems
  • Hands‑on experience with industry‑standard process engineering software such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, Aspen Plus, UniSim, Flarenet and Pipenet
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and motivate teams, working collaboratively within multidisciplinary EPC or consultancy environments
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking and decision‑making skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver results

If you are an experienced Singapore‑based Principal Process Engineer with a strong background in downstream Oil & Gas and LNG projects, we'd like to hear from you.
