This job is responsible for creating winning fragrances in order to gain, defend, or revitalize fragrance compound business.
Your key responsibilities
- Understands and interprets client's needs and translates them into perfume compositions which are within clients quality, stability, price, and safety guidelines, and consistent with all relevant Firmenich policies and standards
- Develops local, regional and global perfumes with the aim of setting new olfactive trends (where relevant)
- Develops own perfume collection proactively in order to prepare for new opportunites, contribute to collections, or prepare for defensive briefs.
- Collaborates with account managers so as to bring perfumery expertise to clients (can include partnership creative work with client's perfumers, experts in clients, or industry consultants) Collaborates with other perfumers on reactive and proactive projects.
- Uses dsm-Firmenich specialities and technologies optimally for business opportunities
- Supports and/or participates in marketing, technical or research studies on fragrances/raw materials, or technologies as assigned
- Oversees the control and maintainence of a raw material organ within shelf-life and representative of production quality
- Provides training to perfumer trainees, internally to other disciplines, and for key client requests
- Develops and modifies Dsm-Firmenich bases, modifies existing perfumes for palette, commercial or technical reasons, and advises on raw material shortages, substitutions and selection (particularly relevant for technical specialists)
- Develops regional and global perfumes with the aim of setting new olfactive trends Contribute to creation community on tools, best practises and innovation projects.

Youbring
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Must possess demonstrated ability to consistently create winning fragrances and/or strong technical perfumery knowledge.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related experience
- Has successfully completed the whole Perfumer's training programme
