This role offers a unique opportunity to seamlessly blend high-level network architecture with hands-on, day-to-day operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the direct deputy to the regional Head of Network, seamlessly handling a mix of high-level architectural strategy and day-to-day network operations.
- Drive the finalization of the core SD-WAN implementation, managing the remaining components and phases through to completion.
- Oversee a hybrid technology environment, actively contributing to and driving automation within the Zscaler (ZIA / ZPA) domain.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve network architecture, ensuring strict alignment with the bank's IT and security policies.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point, effortlessly bridging the gap between complex network architecture and operational problem-solving.
- Collaborate with vendors, external partners, and internal teams to ensure technical solutions are delivered efficiently.
Requirements:
- Industry Background: Extensive experience within the global banking industry is the primary requirement. Exceptionally strong technical candidates without a banking background may be considered, provided they demonstrate outstanding core competencies and are prepared for a rigorous technical assessment.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional dual-strength proficiency in both Network Architecture and Network Operations.
- Automation Focus: High proficiency in network automation using Ansible or Python is strictly required.
- Technology Stack: Proven, hands-on expertise in finalizing and managing SD-WAN deployments.
- Cloud Security: Strong administrative and automation skills with Zscaler (ZIA / ZPA).
- Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering architectural roadmaps while comfortably stepping in to lead daily engineering operations.
