Principal Machine Learning Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to design and build production-grade AI systems that power long-running workflows, persistent memory, reasoning, and reliable task execution. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge LLM technologies and help shape the future of AI-powered products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and own end-to-end machine learning pipelines covering data preparation, training, evaluation, inference and deployment.
• Fine-tune and optimize large language models using modern techniques such as LoRA, QLoRA, Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT), Direct Preference Optimization (DPO) and model distillation.
• Build and maintain scalable inference infrastructure with a focus on latency, reliability, GPU utilization and cost optimization.
• Develop high-quality synthetic and real-world data pipelines to support model training and continuous improvement.
• Design automated evaluation frameworks to measure model quality, robustness, safety and bias.
• Optimize GPU performance through quantization, mixed precision and memory-efficient inference techniques.
• Deploy and operate production AI systems that serve real users at scale.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers and product teams to integrate ML capabilities across backend, mobile and desktop applications.
• Continuously improve system performance through experimentation, monitoring and iterative development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of deep learning fundamentals and Transformer architectures.
• Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning or deploying large language models in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in PyTorch, JAX or equivalent machine learning frameworks.
• Experience with distributed training and inference technologies such as DeepSpeed, FSDP, Megatron-LM, ZeRO or Ray.
• Solid software engineering skills with the ability to develop scalable, maintainable production systems.
• Experience optimizing GPU performance, memory efficiency, mixed precision and quantization.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous, zero-to-one environments with a strong ownership mindset.
• Passion for building high-quality AI products that solve real-world problems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with one or more of the following is highly advantageous:

• vLLM, TensorRT-LLM or FasterTransformer
• RLHF techniques such as PPO, DPO or ORPO
• Multimodal or diffusion models
• Large-scale data processing using Spark, Apache Arrow or Ray
• GPU kernel optimization or scientific computing
• Contributions to open-source AI or machine learning projects
